I think the FBI and these corporations might make it worse on themselves with regards to Online Piracy
Okay so firstly, I saw an article sometime last night about another raid on the popular torrent website “The Pirate Bay” and I thought to myself… wait a minute, this could never end good - so I’ll use my sixth sense to provide some context and insight into the matter.
When federal agencies decided to raid / take down websites, what would you expect the makers of such sites to do? Well there’s two choices that I can see
1. They might simply give up OR
2. They might get smarter, think harder, evade better and thus make greedy corporations that are also politically or legally “motivate” federal agencies lose more profits (or so is my honest opinion on the matter).
What does this mean? Well, there are a host of problems that corporations and agencies will face and I list accordingly
1. The internet is not “owned” by one particular country … at least I would hope not… but there could always be an underlying plan of internet domination. Anyways… my point is, what happens when they torrent site owners decide to go to a country which doesn’t have the stringent laws of the Americas? The Americas will obviously push these countries by nearly all means necessary to change and probably enact laws since I must tell you that the Americas is the super power on the western side of the world – but you should already know that.
2. Let’s assume therefore that all countries have the best anti piracy laws in effect. What will happen? Well mirroring is what is probably going to happen. Mirroring involves a site being copied to multiple locations… if one location goes down, the site data is still intact somewhere else… So agencies would have to shut down the site at all locations or the source of the site if its a domain which effectively points to the IP addresses of the mirroring servers. But I’m certain if people are desperate enough to torrent, it would be fairly easy to remember a static ip address to a website. If worst comes to worse and its a dynamic ip address, if people are desperate enough, they could just open a specific port that answers a particular way that indicates that this ip address is running a torrent site or something to that effect therefore a normal port scanner would be able to pick up that.. Imagine how much of a horrible time federal agencies would have in shutting down this type of system… it would be merely impossible or should I say improbably.
3. Let’s say for some reason that fails… well worms and botnets out there use the dns flux mechanism which I really claim to know very little about… in fact, I only read about this sometime this week via Wikipedia. The DNS flux works by switching IP addresses rapidly through the dns system. Sounds similar to mirroring except that now, you can integrate dynamic ip addresses so now one can run a website from home. Imagine tens of thousands of personal computers and torrent users willing to replicate / mirror a torrent site… how exactly would that be shut down? Well let’s say ISPs are forced to close certain ports or do some sort of port filtering… well its easy to evade by changing the information passing through …. maybe even by encryption?
4. What happens if they somehow block all these ideas… well more ideas will come about…. remember the internet grows in insight everyday by many engineers and programmers. Every millisecond of thought involved can never be absolutely controlled.
So my point is really simply put that I don’t see at the end of the day how agencies are going to control piracy without pin pointing and logging every single person thereby removing the rights of the individual which is probably part of nearly every country’s constitution.

So just to finish off before I do something important like get some rest… my sixth sense is telling me that my blog won’t actually get more popular for 2 important reasons
1. My truth simply does not mix nicely with most people (majority > 90 %)
2. Google somehow hates my website and since they rule all the minds I can think off, well… I’m out of luck… I suppose its because I spoke badly about them in the past. I still think they deserved it.
3. Alexa, the so called best traffic ranking company is still a whole level of bologne and rubbish. How exactly are they completely or even nearly completely accurate if the only way they can rank your website is based on how many users have the Alexa toolbar installed on the browser. I mean, serious, I am not smart and I can still see this is hogwash (please replace with the full meaning of B.S to get the true meaning – thank you). What about the tonnes of people that don’t have the Alexa toolbar and surf the internet… ROFLOL. So much people are fooled by this that I have decided that if you believe truly in Alexa, your mind is at the lower end of the food chain…. sorry… but you got to admit that I do make some sense.

I’m not going to be nice to the University of the West Indies until they get their act together and show some level of intelligence. This is not a war against my good lecturers… this is about UWI’s poor administrative decisions that has lead to the following:
1. The clamping of customer (student) cars and the lack of parking. Pathetic because they could solve this issue instead of taking it out their customers.
2. The lack of proper printing support after 9 o clock at the library – as if students don’t have enough problems getting their work done (which most of them do in the night time as well like myself). The staff in STARRs sit down and do nothing after 9 pm then? Ridiculous… bastards is what I call you people.
3. How ridiculous is it that Wikipedia is not even a credible source to UWI but they link to wikipedia on their UWI facebook fan page for people to read more about UWI? Bastards… that’s what I call them.

You know, if you all really knew how much I knew… its been at least a year that I’ve been holding my tongue about this because I really don’t want to make people look bad but please read the article below posted in regards to the Medical Record System in the RHAs

What get’s me is that there is a whole team trying to implement this system like more than 5 years now and many of the team members (of which I was a part of) was very ethusiastic to make this happen. Low and behold, there are a few people who simply don’t want to run with the idea… backed by a whole lot of past and present politics… and worst of all a board and other members who didn’t think I was fit enough to be IT Manager ….
HOW ABOUT NOW? YOU ALL DON’T REMEMBER WHAT I WAS SAYING IN THE RE-INTERVIEW? AND TO BOOT… ASK ABOUT THE SYSTEM I BEGAN FEVERISHLY DEVELOPING FOR THE ERHA… ASK WHERE IT IS NOW? FROM SOMETHING … BACK TO BARELY ANYTHING…
OH… but life goes on and people continue to suffer in this country because of a few selfish people…
and… I’m not exactly sure where the Minister of Health is referring to it as the “iCloud” system so I’m looking out to see if this is some kind of new product that he is somehow familiar with… *I’m beginning to get worrysome ideas* though I agree with the fact that it should be digitized.
But I think we should be developing our own system so that when the time comes, we can fix issues instead of depending on paid support all the time which costs tax payers a lot of money. With that being said… BRING BACK MY OPEN SOURCE IDEA! I DID IT AND IT WORKED AND IT COULD HAVE BEEN GREAT.

Papajohn’s Trinidad Menu – South – Gulf City
I see that someone has been searching for the Papajohn’s Menu in south Trinidad. Well I will try to help you out but I don’t remember the whole menu…
As far as I can recall, Papajohns primarily sell pizzas ranging from small, medium and large with your choice of toppings or you can choose from a variety of “prebuilt” pizzas (which I cannot remember off hand). I generally order pepperoni and pineapple because the mozarella cheese tastes so awesome in combination with these toppings and gives a really sweet and sour taste which I LOVE!
The pizzas also come with a garlic butter sauce on the side (WHICH IS ALSO AWESOME) and 2 pickelled jallepeno peppers (WHICH IS ALSO AWESOME!)
In addition, I know that they have also been trying to provide a bbq wings which I last recalled was around $40 dollars but I’m not particularly impressed by this and there’s another type of spicier wings which the south branch never seems to have when I visit on Sundays
P.S I have not eaten from PapaJohns since my cholesterol has been high for approximately 8 months so I’m not sure how things have changed. If I ever visit in the near future, I will keep you guys posted.

How to change hostname in CENTOS via command line
Okay so I needed to do this recently (how to change hostname in CENTOS).
So from the prompt go to the sysconfig directory, then edit the network file changing the hostname string inside the file and then reboot
cd /etc/sysconfig
nano network
hostname=mynewhostname.com
^ change to whatever your domain is and press CRTL O to Save.

Speeding up Drupal 7 - THIS WILL WORK!
If you google search for Drupal 7 being slow, you'll see a lot of people complaining that its slow. Do not believe the drupal die hards when they say that Drupal 7 is faster by default - IT IS A LIE AND THEY ARE MISLEADING MANY USERS. I AM A DIE HARD and for sure I found it ridiculously slow after a clean install and some added modules. I can tell you for a fact that Drupal 7 is slower than Drupal 6 on initial install with recommended settings.
However, I have found finally! (After about 1 month of set-back testing thinking that the problem was something to do with PHP and mySQL configs) I found that the reason for drupal's slowness with respect to the administration of your site is actually due to 3 modules:
1. Disable the Update Manager Module
2. Disable the Overlay Module
3. Disable the Toolbar Module
BAM! Save your settings and then when you want to access your administration pages visit your /admin example: www.yoursite.com/admin
I BET YOU WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE.

Drupal Image Import problem [Solved]
Many of you know that I maintain websites for my hobby. Recently while I was working on WOLFC's website, I tried to import over 50 photos using the drupal image import module and constantly got the error "You are not authorized to view this page" even though I was logged in as the "super" administration with id = 1. Anyways, if you are having this same problem, it's probably due to your mysql settings believe it or not. I was able to rectify the problem by adding the following line to my /etc/my.cnf mysql settings file under the [mysqld] section within it:
max_allowed_packet = 32M
